Sri Lanka: a nine-day journey full of contrasts – from golden beaches and wild nature to ancient temples and tea plantations.​
The route leads through Negombo, Colombo, Galle, Ella, Kandy, and Sigiriya, ending at the paradise beaches of Trincomalee.​
The adventure includes boat cruises, safaris with elephant sightings, scenic train rides, and breathtaking views.​

Tour plan

Day 1 – Negombo

  • After arrival in Sri Lanka, transfer from the airport to Negombo.
  • First stop and first day of relaxation by the ocean – time to unwind, experience the local atmosphere, and catch your breath after the journey.

Day 2 – Kolombo

  • Sightseeing in the capital: Hindu temple, Old Town Hall, vibrant market, and Red Mosque.
  • Don’t miss the magnificent Gangaramaya Temple, one of the most beautiful in Colombo.
  • For those interested – a walk along the promenade and admiring the lighthouse.
  • Afternoon lunch, followed by a visit to the Golden Buddha statue at Kandeviharaya.
  • Overnight stay at an elegant hotel near Colombo.

Day 3 – Galle, Bentota & Mirissa

  • Boat cruise on the Bentara River, visit the turtle farm in Kosgoda, and then a visit to the moonstone mine.
  • You will also see the Tsunami Victims Monument and the impressive Dutch Fort in Galle – a gem of colonial architecture.
  • In the afternoon, swimming and snorkeling with turtles in Unawatuna (depending on tides).
  • At the end of the day – scenic Coconut Hill in Mirissa and overnight stay in Udawalawe.

Day 4 – Udawalawe & Ella

  • Morning visit to the elephant orphanage in Udawalawe – opportunity to observe and feed young elephants.
  • Then transfer towards Ella: on the way, Diyaluma and Ravana waterfalls, as well as friendly monkey encounters.
  • For those interested – climb Adam’s Peak and overnight stay in Ella.

Day 5 – Ella, Haputale & Lipton Seat

  • Transfer on the famous train from Badulla to Haputale – one of the most beautiful railway routes in the world.
  • Walk along the Nine Arch Bridge and enjoy the view from Lipton Seat, offering a panoramic vista of tea fields.
  • Evening at a charming hotel in Ella.

Day 6 – Nuwara Eliya & Kandy

  • Visit the city of Nuwara Eliya – a former colonial gem in the heart of tea plantations.
  • Tour the Red Post Office, a tea factory and plantation, as well as Ramboda waterfalls.
  • In the evening, transfer to Kandy – enjoy a cultural dance show and overnight stay at a hotel with mountain views.

Day 7 – Kandy, Matale & Dambulla

  • Visit temples: the Temple of the Tooth in Kandy or Nelligala Temple on the hill with panoramic views.
  • Visit a wood and silk factory – opportunity to take photos in traditional sari.
  • In Matale – spice garden and Hindu temple.
  • Next – Dambulla caves and the Golden Buddha statue.
  • Overnight stay at a hotel in Sigiriya.

Day 8 – Sigiriya & Pidurangala

  • Morning at Pidurangala Rock, with a view of Sigiriya at sunrise.
  • Village tour in traditional Sigiriya – discover Sri Lankan dishes and learn how they are prepared.
  • In the evening, climb Lion Rock and enjoy sunset with a panoramic view of the tropical jungle.
  • Overnight stay in Sigiriya.

Day 9 – Safari and paradise coast

  • Morning departure for a jeep safari in Minneriya or Wilpattu National Park (depending on the season).
  • In the afternoon, transfer to the northern beaches – Trincomalee or Kalpitiya – to conclude the journey.
